Welcome to the Osteopathic Continuous Certification Education Center for Internal Medicine (OCC-ECIM). This site has been created by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) and the American College of Osteopathic Internists (ACOI) to provide a place for you to track your progress in meeting the requirements of Osteopathic Continuous Certification (OCC), submit activities for credit toward the OCC requirements, and purchase and complete the ACOI's Self-Assessment of Medical Knowledge modules.
If you have previously registered, enter your AOA number and password in the Sign-in area and click the Sign-in button.
If you have not yet registered on the OCC site, please enter your AOA number and last name, click Register and complete the registration form.
Register and verify your AOA member information to access the Recertification Dashboard.
Why Register? As of October 1, 2017, the AOBIM will no longer require self-assessment activities as part of the OCC process. The AOBIM will be removing the OCC point system from this process as well. Self-Assessment activities will, as they have in the past, count towards continued medical education (CME) hours. The following OCC components are required to remain compliant in OCC and maintain your certification:
